A 48-year-old Bowie woman was arrested for making a false report to a peace officer related to a complaint she made about her previous arrest.
Kent Stagg, assistant police chief, said the original arrest of Tina Jean Dickerson, 500 Decatur, was made at 2:22 p.m. on May 4 by Officer Paul Magers. Dickerson was reportedly found to be driving with an invalid license, and her criminal history showed a previous conviction which makes it a Class B misdemeanor and she was arrested.
Dickerson came back to the police and made a complaint about her arrest and Stagg received it on May 9 for investigation. It was later found to have been fabricated.
