Summer outdoor movie season wraps Friday
The summer is winding down as Downtown Outdoor Movie Night wraps up on Aug. 7 with “Jumanji.”
The Bowie Community Development Board agreed this movie was a good depiction of how the year 2020 is going. The public is invited to come out at dark to the parking lot at Mason and Tarrant Streets to this free celebration under the stars.
Concessions will be available with popcorn, hot dogs, snow cones and candy. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.
The Friday night film is an American fantasy comedy adventure film based on a children’s book. The story centers on a supernatural board game that releases jungle-based hazards upon its players with every turn they take.
Fan favorites such as Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, and Bonnie Hunt play the main roles. This family-friendly flick is a PG-rated delight.
BCDB officials extend appreciation to Bowie Volunteer Fire Department, Bowie Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Piston Heads Auto Club and Bowie Chamber of Commerce for their help at all the Outdoor Movie Nights.
Funds collected will help provide beautification and restoration to the city.
