Bowie bounces back at NCTC tourney
The Bowie High School varsity volleyball team bounced back from a disappointing loss on Tuesday by winning two of three matches in pool play Thursday at the North Central Texas College tournament in Gainesville.
Bowie defeated Conference 4A Gainesville by scores of 25-22, 25-18, but then the Lady Rabbits fell in two to Gunter 25-16, 25-20.
Bowie also beat the Lindsay junior varsity 25-10, 25-11.
The Lady Rabbits were 3-2 as of Friday morning. Bowie played at Lindsay on Friday night, and play today in the championship bracket at the NCTC Tournament.
Earlier this week, Petrolia defeated Bowie in three competitive sets by scores of 25-23, 28-26, 27-25.
