SPORTS BRIEFS: Robinson’s kills are not enough

Kylie Robinson recorded eight kills and the Bowie High School junior varsity volleyball team lost in three games to Archer City on Tuesday at the high school.
Archer City won by game scores of 11-25, 25-22, 25-21.
Ivy Dennis contributed four ace serves for the Lady Rabbits.
Bowie’s record is 0-1.
The team will participate in the Nocona JV Tournament Saturday.
Bowie defeats Archer City
The Bowie High School freshman team defeated Archer City in two games by scores of 25-8, 25-12 on Tuesday at the high school.
Shelbie Russell and Lauren Gill registered two kills apiece.
The Lady Rabbits are 1-0.
Bowie will travel to Nocona for a junior varsity tournament Saturday.

On Aug. 27, The Bowie News will be running a special section featuring local high school varsity football and volleyball programs and more. The theme for this year’s special section has been chosen, called “Destination: Championship.”
