Workman takes hill later today

Former Bowie High School standout pitcher Brandon Workman is expected to make his next start today against the Seattle Mariners.
The game will take place at 12:35 p.m. Central Daylight Time at Fenway Park. The game will be shown on Major League Baseball’s Extra Innings package through DIRECTV. For exact channel, scroll through your satellite receiver.
Workman will face Seattle right-handed pitcher Chris Young, who has compiled a 12-6 record and has a 3.07 earned-run average (ERA) this season.
This hasn’t been a stellar season for Workman, who has dropped his past seven decisions and has a 1-7 record with a 4.26 ERA. He has yielded 38 runs (33 earned) with 53 strikeouts and 27 walks in 69-2/3 innings of work.
However, Workman’s most recent performance was encouraging. He allowed only two earned runs in seven innings of work against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday.
Workman has one victory against the Mariners, and 13 strikeouts in eight innings.
