Small Town America Art Show on Nov. 1
Are you an artist? Is your child an artist? Then you must sign up for the third annual Small Town America Art Show, on Nov. 1 at the First United Methodist Church.
The show is presented by the Bowie Alliance for Education. If you have an entry please bring it to the First United Methodist Church, 1515 Jefferson Street from 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31 or 8 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 1.
The art show will be 3 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the First United Methodist Church with winners being announced at an awards reception at 3 p.m.

Sewer line replacement moving forward
A section of Roach Street has been closed for the last few weeks as a new sewer line was installed replacing old clay tile line. It is phase two of multi-phase sewer line project across the city funded through a Texas Water Development Board loan of more than $9.7 million.
