BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Bowie JV Maroon wins

The Bowie High School boys’ junior varsity maroon team took another step toward an undefeated district season with a 42-34 victory over Boyd this past Friday at Boyd.
Dillon Swaim was the Jackrabbits’ leading scorer with nine points, and Kason Spikes chipped in with eight points.
Bowie’s hot start proved to be the difference, with a 13-2 lead at the end of one quarter of play.
There was no Bowie JV White game on Friday.
The Jackrabbits wrapped up the season last night with a home game against Henrietta.
AREA VARSITY: Nocona bounces City View by 26
The Nocona High School boys’ basketball team won its second straight with a 64-38 victory over City View on Friday in District 3A-9 play.
Jaxon Phipps and Kameron Hill both tossed in 12 points for the winning Indians, who wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday against Jacksboro.
Nocona finished the game with eight 3-pointers, and they canned 20-of-27 from the free-throw line.
