Bowie gymnasts Kaden Myers (left) and Caleb Schelsteder competed in the Amerikids Meet at Oklahoma City on Feb. 7. The two boys are part of the Leaps ‘n’ Bounds gymnastics program run by Richard McLaughlin. Schelsteder was first in tumbling, double mini trampoline and mini trampoline. He was also second in the main trampoline contest. Myers placed first in trampoline, mini trampoline and double trampoline. He was also second in tumbling. Schelsteder was the overall champion in the double mini at Level 8 and overall champion in tumbling for Level 7. Myers was the Level 6 champion in trampoline and mini trampoline.
