County bridge loss pushes damage report to more than $7.9 million

Montague County has amended its emergency declaration related to repairs stemming from the recent weeks of flooding and heavy rain.
On Monday, County Judge Rick Lewis told the commissioner’s court at its regular meeting the road damage report has been changed following the failure one large bridge in precinct three.
During the weekend, Commissioner Mark Murphey reported the Cardwell Road Bridge north of Nocona had failed and had been condemned.
