SUBVARSITY FOOTBALL: Mixed results for Bowie teams

Published

on

Bowie High School’s junior varsity football team went on the road to Boyd on Thursday and claimed a 20-8 victory at Boyd ISD Stadium.
Boyd actually scored the game’s first points, but then Bowie tallied 20 points in a row.
Peyton Price delivered a 60-yard touchdown strike to Billy Brown on a halfback pass in the opening quarter.
Price and Jacob Skinner were the offensive players of the game.
“Peyton had a lot of big catches and Jacob some big runs,” Bowie head JV coach Quentin Berend said. “The kids battled all night. We scored with three seconds left before halftime, which was a big momentum shift for us.” Read more, and see scoring summaries, in the weekend Bowie News.
