Building one church at a time – Texas Baptist Men helping building faith through construction

Published

on

By BARBARA GREEN
Carter Lake Baptist Church will have the interior of its new parsonage complete within the next two weeks thanks to the efforts of the Texas Baptist Men.
This group draws volunteers from across Texas who assist with construction of projects for Texas Baptist churches, camps and other Christian organizations. During its 40-year history they have had a hand in the construction of more than 1,600 churches and camp facilities, saving these ministries millions of dollars in construction costs.
Dan Six, Nocona, is state coordinator of the retired church builders, and he is getting to work closer to home this month.
Two weeks ago they completed a new fellowship hall at Abundant Life Church in Nocona and they arrived this past week at Carter Lake, located on Farm-to-Market 1125 south of Bowie, to finish out the new parsonage’s interior.

Learn more about this enthusiastic group of volunteers who travel the state helping build churches by reading their story in the mid-week News.
