Council narrows CM list to eight, interviews sought

Members of the Bowie City Council reviewed the resumes of eight potential city managers during a 90-minute executive session Tuesday night and will begin setting up interviews during the last week of January.
There were a total of 28 applicants for the city manager job and during recent weeks councilors were asked to review the list for interview prospects.

The city has been operating without a city manager since Nov. 17 when Ricky Tow resigned to take a job in Gladewater.
He had worked in Bowie four years.
