Area law officers attend continuing ed class in Montague
Sixty-five law officers attended an “Effective Courtroom Testimony” class in Montague on March 28. It is taught by the Texas District and County Attorneys Association and free to local prosecutors and law enforcement for continuing education credits. The 97th DA’s office presented the class for continuing education credit. Attendees from across the area included game wardens, sheriff’s deputies, police and others. The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
