Relay for Life readies Survivor, Caregiver dinners
The Montague County Relay for Life, benefiting the American Cancer Society and local patient services, will be on June 18 in Bowie from noon to midnight.
Survivor and caregiver celebration dinners are being planned and those special people are invited to enjoy a free meal at one two events.
In Bowie the dinner will be at 6 p.m. on June 9 at the Bowie Senior Citizen Center. RSVP to Lynda Medley, 872-4500.
In Nocona the dinner will be at the Carpenter Shop at 6 p.m. on June 17. RSVP to Donna Culpepper at 825-3148.

Local libraries wrap up their children’s summer reading programs this week.
The Bowie Public Library brings the popular Creature Teacher with all their spectacular animals for the final event on July 23 at the Bowie Community Center.
The program begins at 10 am. The children also will receive their prize books for their summer logs.
The Nocona Public Library ends its program at 10 a.m. on July 24 at the H.J. Justin Building at 100 Clay Street. The program will be “Our Own Action Heroes -” Nocona fire, police and EMTs.
