BASKETBALL: Veitenheimer plays in Italy

Soon-to-be Windthorst High School senior Tatum Veitenheimer will be representing her country.
Veitenheimer is playing for a USA basketball team, and she’s competing at a tournament in Italy.
Earlier in the spring, Veitenheimer verbally announced her intention to play basketball at the University of Oklahoma.
Veitenheimer, when she was younger, participated in the Bowie Little Dribblers program and was Bowie’s national champion 14-under team with Lady Rabbits’ Addy Cook and Henslee Ogle and Forestburg’s MaKayla Mason.
The Trojanette point guard averaged 26.9 points, 7.1 steals and 5.3 assists as a junior this year. Read more from this notebook in the June 21 Bowie News.
