Music for the Mission Feb. 28
On Feb. 28 the First United Methodist Church of Bowie will play host to “Music for the Mission.”
The musical event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and is open to all surrounding churches in Montague County.
Interested in how to make this event a success? Just offer your church’s musical talents, enjoy good fellowship and food and help support a cake auction along with a silent auction of local merchandise.
Admission fee is $1 per person and if so desired, a canned good for the mission. All proceeds will go directly to the Bowie Mission.
The First United Methodist Church of Bowie is at 1515 N. Jefferson.
Church officials said they are in tune with your Wednesday night worship, and hope you will change your worship schedule this particular Wednesday to help meet the community’s needs.

Local libraries wrap up their children’s summer reading programs this week.
The Bowie Public Library brings the popular Creature Teacher with all their spectacular animals for the final event on July 23 at the Bowie Community Center.
The program begins at 10 am. The children also will receive their prize books for their summer logs.
The Nocona Public Library ends its program at 10 a.m. on July 24 at the H.J. Justin Building at 100 Clay Street. The program will be “Our Own Action Heroes -” Nocona fire, police and EMTs.
