Tales ‘N’ Trails Museum volunteers ask you to pardon their dust as phase one of the west wing expansion takes shape in the form of a western town complete with a mercantile, barber shop, bank and saddle shop.

Earlier this year the museum board began designing the exhibit space in the west wing continuing its development of the museum’s focus on: Native American culture, western heritage, agriculture, leather goods and the oil and gas industry.

In 2017 the agriculture exhibits’ barn was completed behind the museum and will be named The Millard Filmore Ball Agriculture Center.
Its exhibitions are being planned and will showcase the museum’s extensive collection of agriculture artifacts from across the county including the Bowie’s Mose Johnson Poultry Ranch that at one time was the largest in the world.
