Bowie Police plan National Night Out meet/greet

Published

on

The City of Bowie Police Department takes part in National Night Out with a “Hot Dog Meet and Greet,” from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the city customer service center parking lot at Tarrant and Mason.
Police Chief Guy Green invites the community to attend and meet many of their officers and enjoy a free hot dog.
“This will be very informal with some of our officers and staff available to visit with the public. If you have time we would love to have people stop by, grab a hot dog and visit a bit. We hope we can get to know more citizens and they can get to know us so we can all work together to make Bowie Better,” said Green.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The state of Texas and select areas celebrate this event on the first Tuesday in October.
