Kids tell you how to cook a turkey, maybe!

Published

on

When Thanksgiving rolls around the third graders at Bowie Intermediate School take a moment to share their views on “How to cook a turkey.”
Teachers use it as a seasonal writing exercise, but for our readers it has become a tradition to see what part of turkey preparations the kiddos are paying attention too. It’s a bit of fun as families gather for the holidays.
The items were typed as submitted by the students with no changes. Thank you to all the third grade teachers to had their classes make submissions, The Bowie News staff appreciates it. Here is a samplings of the many submissions.

My step dad will shoot it his name is Eric Whatlee we sat and sat in tell still nothing then we saw the perfect turkey it looks so it juicy and then we shot it on the ground and pick the feathers off of it then we will put it in the oven and put it on 1,000 degrees and put it on the table.

It was Thanksgiving.
I would have to kill him.
Next, clean the floor.
Then, take him to my house.
I would take all the feathers off.
I would put him in the oven at 200 degrees.
I would put 5 hours. My dad sets the table with my mom.
I take it out of the oven. I seasoning on it. finlley ,we have a good Thanksgiving. The End.
