Bowie Senior Center board hosting reception

Donna Roth was working in the front office for a local accountant when the job as Bowie Senior Citizens Center director came open.

She thought it sounded like a fun job and maybe a bit less stressful. Almost 21 years later, she is retiring Sept. 30 from a job she loves. Roth submitted her resignation to the board at the first of month, and directors will celebrate her retirement with a party from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at the center. The public is welcome to attend.
