FOOTBALL: Sharon, Forestburg triumph

One thing’s for sure so far this football season: Forestburg High School’s offense is quite prolific.
The Longhorns totaled 227 rushing yards and added 216 more through the air as they pounded Wichita Falls Christian 56-8 in non-district action Friday.
“The offense has been working well,” Forestburg head coach Wayne Tuckwell said.
The Longhorns improved to 2-1.
Now Forestburg’s focus is on this Friday’s road game at Denton Calvary.
Tuckwell said Denton Calvary uses two different defenses based on what the offense is running.
“When they see a spread, they get in a 2-2-2,” Tuckwell said. “When you line up in tight, they will use a three- or a four-man front.” Read more in the mid-week edition of The Bowie News, which includes statistics.
