Forestburg was presented with a tough task Tuesday evening in Forestburg: Trying to maintain their playoff hopes against District 2A-10 foe Lindsay.
The Knights just happen to be one of the favorites to win the Conference 2A state title down in Garland this November, currently ranked fourth in that class by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
Unfortunately, the task proved too much as the Horns fell in straight sets 25-6, 25-11, 25-10.
Forestburg’s record falls to 19-13 on the season, and 5-5 in 2A-10.
The season hung in the balance Friday night at Tioga, a team Forestburg lost to at home earlier this season. Tioga is also 5-5 in the district.
“We will be playing Tioga and Collinsville for the next two games,” Forestburg head coach Rosana Barbosa said. “These will be two very hard and decisive games for us. I believe if we play hard and determined, we will have a positive result.” Read more from District 2A-10 volleyball in the weekend Bowie News.
