After four senior volleyball players were honored for their years of service to the team, Bowie made it a special day with a straight-set defeat of City View 25-6, 25-15, 25-22.
The team’s record improved to 20-19, with a 5-8 record in 9-3A.
“We played well,” said head coach Jeanie Stark. “We played with a different dynamic because we wanted the seniors to get some playing time. They did a good job, stepping up and making plays.”
The Lady Rabbits dominated the first set.
But after storming out to a 7-1 lead in the second, City View began playing better.
Bowie won the third set by only three points.
“City View has some good athletes,” Stark said. “They have some players who can hit the ball well.”
Before the match, Madeline Page, Brooke Reaves, Stephanie Clement, Cassie Caswell and manager Shanna Wadsworth were recognized during Senior Day ceremonies.
