BOWIE NOTEBOOK: ‘Pink Out’ shirts are available
The Bowie Athletic Booster Club is offering “Pink Out” shirts for upcoming sporting events.
The pink T-shirt features the following slogan on it, “Hey, Cancer: Game On,” with the traditional pink ribbon representing breast cancer awareness.
All pink out T-shirt orders and money must be turned in no later than 2 p.m. on Oct. 9 to Brooke Hunter at Bowie High School.
T-shirts are available in several sizes: Youth small, youth medium and youth large, adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult extra large and 2XL and 3XL.
The cost of the T-shirt is $15. Make checks payable to the Bowie Athletic Booster Club.
Shirts may be picked up at the BHS cafeteria after school up to 6 p.m. on Oct. 15.
The football pink out date is Oct. 17 against Brock at Jackrabbit Stadiumn and the volleyball pink out date is Oct. 25 against Wichita Falls City View at BHS gymnasium.

Bowie Junior High Volleyball
The Bowie Junior High School “7A” volleyball team defeated Jacksboro on the road Monday.
The Cottontails won by scores of 25-18, 25-19.
The Bowie seventh-grade “B” team lost 25-11, 25-21.
The Cottontail “8A” team lost to Jacksboro 25-14, 25-21 while the “B” squad lost 25-17, 25-16.
The seventh- and eighth-grade “A” teams will compete in a tournament at Jacksboro today, and then all four squads will compete at Boyd on Monday.
