Two men hit the beach at Normandy 70 years ago

During this Veterans Day Week, family and friends recalls those now gone who served or those who may still be in harm’s way. One local businessman wanted to remember two Bowie men Paul Gray and Homer Jackson who took part in one of the greatest battles in world history, the invasion of Normandy, “D-Day.”

Through the years Jeweler Richard Bradley has collected photos of local veterans and has often displayed them in his jewelry store. He keeps notes of who served, where and how long. His goal is for the community to know and remember these local heroes.
