Grand jury issues 28 true bills in Monday session
There were 28 true bill indictments handed down by the Montague County Grand Jury during its Monday session.
District Attorney Paige Williams said a total of 19 people were charged in the indictments. There was one “no bill” issued by the panel.
A man who eluded law enforcement officers for two days as evaded arrest saw two separate indictments.
Brian Dean King Jr., 32, was indicted for evading arrest from an Oct. 29 incident and a second indictment for the same charge from an Oct. 30 offense. Bond was $2,500 on the first case, $20,000 on the second case.

Montague County Grand Jury issues November indicted cases
The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
