HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Romine named a semifinalist

Bowie High School girls’ basketball player River Romine has been selected to play on an Adidas-sponsored team.
There were six McDonald’s All-American nominees on this Adidas team last year.
Romine was also chosen a semifinalist for the Texas Christian Athlete of the Year award. She was 3-point shooting champion at a contest at Houston Baptist University.
Romine scored five points in Monday’s bi-district victory over Whitesboro.
