New auditing firm presents Bowie with strong report for 2013-14
On Tuesday night, the Bowie City Council accepted an unqualified outside audit for fiscal 2013-14.
This was the first audit to be prepared by a new firm, following many years with a Wichita Falls audit firm. Don Allman of Donald L. Allman CPA, PC, Georgetown, TX, made the presentation Tuesday.
Allman pointed out Bowie is one of the largest cities his firm audits as the firm focuses on small towns. The auditor praised the city staff for its thoroughness and assistance during the process.
Bowie’s audit met all the acceptable accounting procedures with no discrepancies or qualifications. Read the full story in the weekend News.
