By ERIC VICCARO

Skies were mostly cloudy on Jan. 29 here in Montague County.

But, the weather was still the main topic as National Weather Service senior meteorologist Eric Martello presented a storm spotter course in the Montague County Courthouse Annex in Montague that night.

Martello works out of the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, which serves as the home office for residents here. Overall, there are 122 NWS offices in the United States.

More than 40 people attended the event, including those with the Montague Emergency Communications Team, Inc. Read the full story on the class, plus learn about storm watch tips in the Saturday News.  Pictured: Eric Martello, National Weather Service senior meteorologist, conducted the storm watch class at Montague last week.
