10-year-old fatally injured at Rednecks with Paychecks

The Montague County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 10-year-old Fort Worth boy who was injured and later died from injuries he received while at Rednecks with Paychecks mudding event near Saint Jo.
Sheriff Paul Cunningham said Nicholas Octavian Torres was injured as he drove a four-wheeler on the grounds of the event. Torres and a passenger are reported to have driven the ATV from between two travel trailers and ran into the side of a pickup that was driving by. Neither child was wearing a helmet. The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Torres was camping with his father said the sheriff.
Medics on the scene responded said the sheriff and the boy was airlifted to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, where he died form his injuries. The passenger was not injured.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office reports the boy sustained multiple traumatic injures from an ATV/off road vehicle collision.
