North Texas Cattleman’s Roundup March 31

Published

on

Area farmers and ranchers will learn about cattle futures when they attend the North Texas Cattleman’s Roundup on March 31 in the Bowie Community Center.

This free event has been presented annually for the past 32 years by the Montague County Livestock Committee.

The roundup usually takes place the last Tuesday of February, but this year it was cancelled due to an ice storm.

It is an opportunity for cattlemen to meet with vendors and learn about new programs or opportunities that can help your operation.

The public is invited.

The grazing hour begins at 5 p.m. and is sponsored by a variety of financial and industry firms. Enjoy lots of food items and pick up information.

At 7 p.m., Doug Rundell of the United States Department of Agriculture Statistics Service, will discuss cattle futures, providing a past, present and future examination.
