IN BRIEF: Bowie News seeks additional editorial staff

The Bowie News is looking to fill an immediate position for a part-time sports/news reporter and photographer.
The job includes helping the sports editor cover seven high schools in Montague and eastern Clay counties, as well as news assignments directed by the editor.
Writing and photography experience is preferred.
A high school diploma is required.
The successful applicant will be able to type stories in Microsoft Word, have other computer and camera experience, and reliable self-transportation.
Pay will be commensurate with skill and experience.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
