Retired administrator named to interim post

Trustees of Bowie Memorial Hospital Thursday officially named Ernie Parisi the chief executive officer to serve while the board pursues a hospital district election.
Parisi has been on the job about nine days stepping in following the resignation of Interim CEO Lynn Heller last month. Both Parisi and Heller are retired administrators who work with hospitals through the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals.
Parisi consulted with BMH when he served as president of TORCH and the hospital was recruiting a new CEO and named Joyce Crumpler. He also worked with Crumpler’s successor, Kim Lee, prior to the last tax election in 2011. Read the full story in the weekend News.
