The Forestburg High School volleyball team lost in three to Conference 1A No. 1 Kopperl during the regional semifinals on Friday at San Angelo Central High School.
Kopperl won by scores of 25-19, 25-9, 25-11.
“They had a couple of girls who hit it right at us,” Forestburg head coach Cori Hayes said. “We really battled them in the first set, but it was hard for us to generate any momentum.”
The Lady Horns finished the season 20-16, and ranked ninth in the Texas Girls Coaches Association 1A poll.
Kaylee Choate dished off eight assists and served up two aces. Alexia Britain also had a pair of aces.
Hope Phipps contributed four kills. Haley Nolan had three kills and a team-best six digs to go with one solo ace block. Cheyenne Banks added three digs. Britain added three digs.
Both of Forestburg’s girls’ basketball games this week have been cancelled. The Lady Horns had been expected to play Perrin-Whitt on Tuesday and Notre Dame Thursday.
