BASKETBALL: Montague tourney slated for Saturday

The Montague Independent School District will have a junior high school tournament on Dec. 5 at the school.
Montague will play Terral, Okla., in a boys’ bracket game at 9 a.m. on Dec. 5. The Eagles will then play Notre Dame at 1 p.m.
Victory Christian of Decatur and Christ Academy of Wichita Falls also are on the boys’ side of the bracket. The third-place game is set for 5 p.m., with the championship at 7 p.m.
On the girls’ side, Montague takes on Terral at 8 a.m., Notre Dame at noon and then Christ Academy at 6 p.m.
The winner will be determined by the best record. Tie-breakers will be severed by head-to-head points allowed.
There will be concessions available.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
