Bowie Police investigate rash of home, business burglaries

Bowie Police are investigating a rash of residential and business burglaries occurring during the past two weeks, along with a large number of vehicle burglaries.
Between Jan. 4 and Jan. 18 there have been seven burglaries, three thefts from homes and eight burglary of a vehicle complaints.
Four of the burglaries occurred at businesses including three where storage units were broken into, and one at Allen’s Texaco on Jan. 18. The rest of the burglaries were at homes.
Police Chief Guy Green said investigators believe the car burglaries may be connected, but not the business burglaries. It is uncertain at this point about the home break-ins said Green.
