Bowie Police, sheriff’s office jail 3 in burglaries

Three local people have been arrested in connection with a pair of burglaries in the Bowie area.
The burglaries are under investigation by the Bowie Police Department and the Montague County Sheriff’s Office.
Bowie Detective Randy Hanson said on Nov. 25 a residence at 305 S. Mill was burglarized, with numerous gaming items stolen, along with women’s clothing, an expensive purse, wallet, one handgun and several pieces of jewelry.
Following various leads took Hanson to Leads on Line, which is an independent third party digital database for pawn store transactions. It was here the detective was able to track down some of the stolen items at a Fort Worth pawn shop and to possible suspects. During the investigation he found several stolen items unrelated to his cases, but he passed the information on to the sheriff’s office and deputies determined the information could solve possible two burglaries.
