BASEBALL: Bowie, Nocona start seasons soon

The Jackrabbits then will compete in a series of scrimmages throughout February, at Mineral Wells (Feb. 8), at Whitesboro (Feb. 13), home for Pilot Point (5:30 p.m., Feb. 15) and Iowa Park and Bridgeport (11 a.m., Feb. 20). The final scrimmage is set for Wichita Falls Old High on Feb. 22.

Nocona opens with Feb. 13 scrimmage

The Nocona baseball team opens with a home scrimmage versus Lindsay at noon on Feb. 13, and then the Indians have a scrimmage at Petrolia at 5 p.m. on Feb. 16. Read more in The Bowie News.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
