The Bowie High School boys’ basketball team recorded 21 assists in Friday’s District 3A-9 laugher over Jacksboro.
And everyone contributed in that statistical category.
Chase Hall dished off four assists. Trace Hardee, Keck Jones, Zeke Vaughan and Tilghman Parr all contributed three assists. In all, 10 different players had at least one assist as Bowie throttled Jacksboro 77-39.
“We played good team basketball,” Bowie head coach Doug Boxell said. “We were able to find the open man. The more you pass, and the more you move the ball, the better shot you will get. You enhance your chance to score.”
Bowie players translated those 21 assists into making 29-of-67 field goals (43 percent). The Jackrabbits tossed in 10 3-pointers, paced by Jeffery Howard’s five treys. Read more, and see the box score, in the Feb. 10 Bowie News.
