Mistrial declared in Darrell Foster case

A mistrial was declared by 97th District Judge Jack McGaughey Thursday as the jury in the continuous sexual assault of a child trial was deadlocked and could not return a unanimous verdict.
Darrell Foster, 55, Bowie, was prosecuted for multiple offenses that allegedly took place between 2009 and October 2014 when a Child Protective Service case was opened followed by a Bowie Police and district attorney investigations. After five hours the jury determine it could not make a unanimous decision deadlocked at 6-5. District Attorney Paige Williams said she expects to meet with the judge and defense attorney soon to discuss a new trial. Read the full story in the weekend News.
