Published

on

The Bowie High School baseball team keeps winning; but, the Jackrabbits are having a tough time cracking state polling.
Bowie was unranked in either the txhighschoolbaseball.com or the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Conference 3A polls.
The Jackrabbits are 14-7-1, and currently atop District 3A-9 with an unblemished 8-0 record.
The .com poll was released on Monday, and the baseball coaches poll on April 7.
West leads both polls with a record of 17-1.
In the .com poll, Van Alstyne is fourth, Farmersville 10th, Wall 11th, Gunter 13th and Brock 17th. Van Alstyne is sixth in the coaches association poll, with Gunter eighth and Brock also is receiving votes.
In Conference 2A, Chico is eighth and Lindsay ninth in the .com poll. The Dragons are 17-0-1, and the Knights aren’t much worse at 17-1-1. Muenster comes in ranked 19th and Windthorst 21st. Read more on the rankings in the April 13 Bowie News.
