Legend Bank readies official grand opening Thursday

Legend Bank, a community bank founded in Bowie in 1890, will celebrate the grand opening of the new building with a ribbon cutting at noon on April 21 at 101 W. Tarrant.
The ribbon cutting will be coordinated by the Bowie Chamber of Commerce. Welcomes will be brought by the bank management, city and chamber officials.
Fourth grade winners in the “Name the Pelican” and Pelican story contests presented by the bank will be introduced. The students were asked to name the Pelican which is part of the bank’s promotional campaign and how it came to Legend Bank. Contest officials saw 60 entries which they said were “very creative and imaginative.”
Customers are invited to attend the ceremony or stop by during the open house. Refreshments will be served.
