GOLF: Benefit tournament set May 21

A benefit golf tournament is set for May 21 at Indian Oaks Golf Course in Nocona.
The event will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. An afternoon will take place if enough teams register.
The tournament benefits Angela Hagemier, a Nocona resident who is currently batting breast cancer.
This will be a two-person formatted event. The cost is $50, if bringing a cart; $60, if not. Two Mulligans may be purchased for $5 before the tournament. Golfers are limited to using one Mulligan per nine holes. For information, call Todd Russell at 1-940-366-5454.
MDA fundraiser tournament
There will be a fundraiser golf tournament on June 4 at Twisted Oaks Golf Course, with all proceeds benefitting the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The event will feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. A second shotgun start will take place at 1 p.m. if there are more than nine teams.
The entry fee for a four-person team is $200. Mulligans will cost $5 each, and with a maximum of two per person. Single entries also will be allowed for $50. For information, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, call Heather Tinkey at 1-940-255-4420.
