TRACK AND FIELD: Vaughan runs in Waco

Bowie High School senior track and field athlete Zeke Vaughan has been invited to the second annual Meet of Champions.
The event will take place at Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium on the Baylor University campus in Waco. The facility is located at 1601 Martin Luther King Boulevard.
This meet is for all public, private and homeschooled athletes who were champions from each conference. Other lanes or places are filled in descending order.
Vaughan will compete in the 110-meter high hurdles, and running events will start at 5:30 p.m. after the completion of what takes place in the field.
He will run unattached due to University Interscholastic League rules.
Events are as follows: 100-meter dash, 200 dash, 400 dash, 800 run, 1,600 run, 3,200 run, 2,000 steeplechase, 100/110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, discus, shot put, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, javelin and the 400, 800 and 1,600 relays.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
