HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Prairie Valley claims sixth win

The Prairie Valley High School volleyball team continued its winning way on Tuesday with a three-game sweep over Mineral Wells Community Christian School.
The team won by scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-10.
The Lady Bulldogs are 6-2.
Taylor Carter was the top defensive standout with nine digs.
Brooklynn Messer and Shelby Roof combined for 10 assists. Both Kincaid Johnson and Messer powered down three kills.
“The girls served very well in this match,” Prairie Valley head coach Jeannie Carpenter said. “Things are coming along nicely.”
Prairie Valley played Vernon Northside on Friday, and the Lady Bulldogs travel to Alvord on Aug. 30 for a match.
