LOCAL: NBHA barrel race heads to MCCC

Horse Association will have an open 4-D jackpot at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 at the Montague County Cowboy Church.
The arena is located on State Highway 175 on the southern edge of Nocona.
No NBHA membership is required.
Walk-up entries and exhibitions only are accepted. Exhibitions will start as early as 11 a.m., and the books open 30 minutes before that.
The fee is $4 for exhibitions, and the overall entry fee is $30. There are no pre-entries, and there is a $5 arena fee per rider.
There will be an 80 percent payout.
The event will feature open, senior and youth divisions, and novice lead line. For information, log onto the website: www.nbhatx15.com or call 1-214-868-0102.
Rain date is Oct. 8.
