Preliminary autopsy released on Bobby Buck

Preliminary autopsy results from the death of a Nocona man on Aug. 23 during a high-speed pursuit shows Bobby Buck was shot 10 times by a Saint Jo Police officer who reported Buck tried to run him over with the stolen vehicle.
The early report provided by Deputy Denika Adams, Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office states the 49-year-old Buck received 10 gunshot wounds involving the chest, abdomen, left flank, left back and left arm.
It continues that five bullets were recovered along with one bullet fragment. In addition Buck had pseudostippling involving the lateral left arm and left side of the back; a small abrasion on the middle finger of the right hand and a posterior fracture of the left eighth rib.
Adams concludes the determination of the a cause of death is pending completion of additional studies including a review of police reports and toxicology testing.
This officer-involved shooting is under investigation by the Texas Rangers at the request of the Cooke County Sheriff’s office. The City of Saint Jo announced its officer, whom it did not identify, will remain on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
