Published

By BARBARA GREEN
Montague County Commissioners met for a routine half-hour session Monday approving new interlocal agreements for ambulance service and paying down the unfunded portion of the employee retirement system contribution.
While the court approved the increase in ambulance stipends for all three services in the county several months ago, the revised agreements have been reviewed by their legal counsel and finalized.
City of Bowie Emergency Medical Services will receive $75,000 a year across a three-year contract, while the Saint Jo Volunteer Fire Department EMS will receive $35,00 for a similar period.
Nocona EMS’ new agreement will go before the hospital board for approval and then back to commissioners for action.
