Bowie Rural Volunteer Fire Department brings live music, a fish and an auction to town Sept. 22 at the Bowie Community Center, 413 Pelham Street.
This event is the primary fundraiser for the fire department that serves a large area outside the Bowie city limits. Proceeds go to upgrade and maintain its equipment.
The popular fish fry will be from 5 to 8 p.m. or until sellout. Your donation is the cost for the fish dinner with all the trimmings.
A live auction will begin about 6:15 p.m. for a variety of items. There also is a prize drawning for a pair of funds, a Diamondback AR 15 .223 and a Springfield XDS 9mm. Tickets are $5.
The concert is a separate event that requires a ticket. Tickets are $25 at the door or order them online at www.outhousetickets.com. Doors open at 8 p.m. with Shotgun Rider the first band to the stage performing from 9 to 10 p.m.
Parker McCollum will place from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. Beer sales are only available within the concert venue.
Those who have questions about the event or would like to donate items to the auction may call Ray Jones, 940-222-0468 or Randall Preuninger, 940-841-4277.
