BISD to begin supt. search
Bowie Independent School District Trustees will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 to discuss the superintendent’s search.
The board will meet with officials from the Texas Association of School Boards’ executive search services to discuss the process and timeline for hiring a superintendent and discussion of candidates.
Superintendent Steven Monkres has told the board he plans to retire at the end of August finishing up nine years leading BISD and more than 20 years in education.
